Taking the First Step into the Flow: Why I Wrote “Just Flow”

Hey everyone, and welcome to my brand new blog!

It feels a little surreal to be typing these words, to have this space to share more intimately with you. And what better way to kick things off than by talking about the journey behind my new book, “Just Flow: Exploring Predestination and the Power of Surrender.”

For years, like many of you, I wrestled with the big questions. How much of my life is truly in my control? How does my faith fit in when things don’t go the way I prayed they would? Why does “surrender” sometimes feel like giving up, yet the idea of “forcing” my way through life feels utterly exhausting?

These weren’t just abstract thoughts; they were born from real-life experiences – moments of deep frustration, unexpected detours, prayers that seemed to hang in the air, and also incredible moments of grace where things fell into place in ways I could never have orchestrated. Through countless hours of reflection, journaling (ten years of it for my first book, “This Journey Through Life”, laid some groundwork!), and seeking God’s heart, a theme began to emerge, a gentle yet persistent whisper: Just Flow.

It started as a note to myself, a reminder to trust the Light I felt within, to believe that even when I couldn’t see the whole path, God was directing the current. It was a call to live more authentically, from the heart, and to find the courage to let go of the need to micromanage every detail.

The more I leaned into this idea of “flowing,” the more peace I found. The more I practiced surrender, not as a passive defeat, but as an active trust in a benevolent, all-knowing Creator, the more I saw His hand guiding, protecting, and providing in ways that astounded me.

“Just Flow” isn’t about having all the answers. It’s about sharing a perspective that has brought immense freedom and clarity to my own life. It’s about exploring concepts like Predestination not as a scary, rigid doctrine, but as a comforting assurance of God’s intricate, loving plan. It’s about unlocking the incredible Power of Surrender to release anxiety and step into the “unforced rhythms of grace.”

My deepest hope for this book, and this blog, is that it resonates with where you are on your journey. Perhaps you’re tired of striving, yearning for peace, or seeking to live a more authentic, purpose-filled life. Maybe you’re questioning how your faith interacts with the realities of a world that often feels beyond your control.

If any of that sounds familiar, then “Just Flow” was written with you in mind. This blog will be an extension of that conversation – a place to explore these themes further, share new insights, and build a community of fellow “flow-ers” learning to navigate life with more trust, grace, and joy.

Thank you for being here at the beginning. I can’t wait to share more with you.

What does “Just Flow” mean to you right now? I’d love to hear your initial thoughts in the comments below!

With warmth and anticipation,
Eunice Okoh
